On December 12, 2022, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) welcomed the research team from Lyon 1 University – France to visit and have a working session at the university. On the side of HUCE, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of International Cooperation Department, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Vice Dean of Faculty of Building Materials. On the side of University of Lyon 1, there were Prof. Vu Xuan Hong and Prof. Thomas Sanchez from LMC2 Laboratory (The Laboratory of Composite Materials for Construction). The two sides introduced and exchanged opportunities for project cooperation in training and research in the field of building materials.

Following the series of professional activities of the research team of the University of Lyon 1, on December 13, 2022, the Faculty of Building Materials, the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction and the expert delegation of the University of Lyon 1 collaborated to organize a symposium on mechanical properties, applications of composite materials and long-term durability of UHPC super high-quality concrete. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Head of International Cooperation Department; Dr. Le Ba Danh – Deputy Head of Science and Technology Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Vinh Long – Head of Faculty of Building Materials; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam - Vice Dean of Faculty of Building Materials and a large number of lecturers and researchers from Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering attended.
